The Black is Beautiful Gala and Fundraiser was held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM PST at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort in The Grand Ballroom. The program featured local artist and performer, Vivian Storm, and included musical performances by a special guest for VIP sponsors, Inner Light Gospel Choir, SBUSD Honor Marching Band with a feature from composer Talitha Gabrielle, a special HBCU Majorette Tribute by the P Money Experience, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Mu Kappa Chapter, the Black Legacy Awards, a raffle giveaway, and HJSB had the Black/African American Historical Timeline exhibition to onsite to view for VIP sponsors.
